As we travel abroad (okay, just down the road) for the holiday, I am reminded of these.
This one seems a no-brainer, right?
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise His name. ~Psalm 100:4
This one, however, seems a little odd. But look more closely for symptoms of the opposite of thankfulness.
For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him, nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. ~Romans 1:21
Even in adversity? Yep.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ~Philippians 4:6
All the way to the end? Uh, yeah.
Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen. ~Revelation 7:12
